# The manager app

> What the manager app is for, where to find it, and what each of its four tabs does.

The manager app answers one question quickly — where is my team? — and gives you one place to clear the decisions only you can make.

## Where it is

```text theme={null}
https://app.ontime.hosai.app/manager
```

Sign in with your normal OnTime credentials. There is no separate manager login, and you do not need to sign out of anything else.

<Tip>
  Add it to your home screen alongside — or instead of — the employee app. The manager app contains the employee app's self-service on its **Me** tab, so you rarely need both.
</Tip>

## The four tabs

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Team" icon="users" href="/help/manager-app/team">
    Where everyone is right now, who needs attention, and a map of field staff.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Approvals" icon="check-check" href="/help/manager-app/approvals">
    One queue for leave, regularizations and overtime from your direct reports.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Reports" icon="chart-column" href="/help/manager-app/reports">
    Your team's attendance percentage, trends and breakdowns, with CSV export.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Me" icon="user">
    Your own attendance, leave and payslips — the employee app's self-service.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Your team is your direct reports

Everything in the manager app is scoped to the people whose manager is **you** — the direct link, not the whole org chart below you.

<Note>
  Somebody two levels down is not in your team here, and their requests do not reach your queue. That case is handled by HR, who hold the organization-wide override. See [Roles & permissions](/help/concepts/roles-and-permissions).
</Note>

## You are also an employee

The **Me** tab is your own record — your punches, your leave, your payslips. Your own leave request goes to *your* manager; you cannot approve it yourself, whatever permissions you hold.

<Note>
  There is no manager-specific settings panel. Approval chains and escalation are configured by administrators, not from this app.
</Note>

## Notifications

The bell opens the same in-app feed as everywhere else — approval requests arriving, messages, decisions on your own requests.

<Warning>
  **In-app only.** A leave request waiting in your queue does not email you. The queue is the thing to check, not your inbox.
</Warning>
